Author: Our Client is a new 250 bed private state of the art hospital in Doha Qatar and expanding its services.
The hospital has a vacancy for a
Consultant Pediatrics / Neonatology
Qualification – American Board in Pediatrics and American board in Prenatal Medicine, or Royal College Degree before 1996 or after 1996 with CCST, or German Fachartz in Pediatrics and Neonatology, or French Board, or South African Board or Australian Degree or Arab Board
Experience required – Minimum 3 to 5 years in a reputed/accredited hospital, International Publication in past 2 years. Must have worked in a tertiary level NICU and Emergency department. At least 2 to 3 years of his experience should be in District Level Hospital .
Job Responsibility - 2nd on call for L&D where the Specialist will be1st on call and the consultant may be summoned if needed for help. The call will be every other day or every 3 days.
Morning round on NICU patients.
Manage and follow the neonates who were admitted under the consultant’s care in NICU on daily basis until discharge or transfer.
Work 6-8 hours daily, 5 days a week in the Outpatient pediatric clinic: this will include managing regular pediatric cases in addition to following the consultant’s patients that were discharged from the hospital recently from Nursery and NICU, giving vaccination, managing acute and chronic pediatric problems up to say age 12 yr.
(Optional) Privileges to admit pediatric cases to the pediatric floor at AAH and follow these cases on daily basis until discharge or if the consultant desires he may get these case admitted under one of his pediatric colleagues.
Languages – English and Arabic (preferable)
